📣 Petsearch Rescue now also accepts surrenders for Wild Acre Rescue adult cats, helping to give them the best possible chance at finding a new forever home. Please follow the process described below.
When we ask whether a cat is vaccinated, this refers to being fully vaccinated and up to date. To maintain up-to-date status, cats must receive a booster vaccination every 12 months.
If you do not have your cat’s vaccination documents, please contact your veterinary practice and request a copy of your cat’s veterinary history, which will confirm their vaccination status. This can be forwarded to us if required.
We kindly ask that you do not state that your cat is vaccinated if they have not received their annual booster. Providing incorrect information will result in our forms needing to be regenerated, which will unfortunately restart your application from the beginning.
We understand that life circumstances can sometimes make it difficult to continue caring for a pet. Choosing to surrender your animal is never easy, and we want you to know that we are here to help, not to judge. Our goal is to ensure every pet finds a safe, loving environment where they can thrive.
Before reaching out to us, please consider whether there are other options that might allow you to keep your pet — such as training resources, temporary fostering, or support programs.
If surrendering is the best choice for you and your pet, we will ask you to fill in a short form. Please share as much detail as you can about your pet’s health, personality, and daily routine. The more we know, the better we can match them with a family that understands their needs.
