Petsearch Rescue urgently needs short-term emergency foster homes for cats and kittens. Some only need a safe place for 48–72 hours, others for 2–4 weeks until we can move them into long-term care.  

These emergency holds can be life-saving. Many cats arrive with no shelter, food, or water, and we simply can’t reach a permanent foster fast enough.  

✅ A spare room is ideal  

✅ A secure garage with lighting + a crate can also work short-term  

✅️ no pets at home , they can live alongside you   

❗ Must be kept separate from your own pets  

We’re based in old Quinton, Hagley rd side we rescue across the West Midlands, so help from ANY nearby area is hugely appreciated.

  We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring people to join our team as Animal Care Assistants.
  

💙 About the role:
Our volunteers help ensure PSR cats are happy, healthy, and cared for while they wait for their forever homes. Many cats find the cattery environment stressful, so your care, love, and attention make all the difference.

✨ Duties include:

• Cleaning pens & litter trays 🧽
• Feeding & watering bowls 🍽️
• Grooming, stroking & playing 🐾
• Spending time with nervous or shy cats to help them build confidence
• Keeping units inside & out clean and tidy
• Reporting observations or concerns
• Optional: Taking photos to help with social media 📸
  

💪 What we’re looking for:
✔️ Enthusiastic & pro-active
✔️ Reliable & committed
✔️ Team player who can also work independently
✔️ Good communication skills
✔️ Willingness to follow instructions & report after shifts

🕒 Time commitment:
We ask for regular commitment (weekly, monthly, or more – flexible to your availability).
✅ You may need to swap/cover if you can’t make your shift.
✅ Please note spaces may be limited at certain times – a waiting list may apply.
