Meet Lesley - Main TNR Trapper, Microchip Implanter, and RTA collector. A true cornerstone of our team, Lesley has been with us since nearly day one, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with our founder in the early days of our rescue efforts. As a vital member of our animal care team, Lesley plays a critical role in the health, safety, and future of the community cats we help. Her skill, precision, and unwavering dedication make her an irreplaceable part of what we do. With a quiet determination and years of hands-on experience, she helps ensure every cat has the best possible chance at a safe and healthy life. Fun fact: Lesley has a knack for turning chaos into calm - whether trapping a wary cat or handling a difficult rescue, she makes it look effortless every time. Additionally, her collaboration with our rescue volunteers and involvement in our foster program further amplifies the impact of her work.

Meet Jos - HQ Animal Care Volunteer, Sponsorship, Monthly CATalougue & Sales. Say hello to Jos, one of our amazing rescue volunteers who wears many hats (and maybe a few cat hairs too 😸). When she is not busy cuddling rescues and ensuring our animals feel loved and cared for through our foster program, Jos is also the first to scan new arrivals for chips and keeps all the pen door updates current. On top of that, she’s working behind the scenes on sponsorships, sales, and even writes our fantastic monthly CATalogue updates and blog! Whether it’s pampering kitties, typing up stories, or helping raise funds with flair – Jos does it all with heart, humour, and a whole lot of passion. 💕 We’re lucky to have this multi-talented superstar on our team. Meet Kate - HQ Animal Care Volunteer. With a heart full of compassion and a deep love for animals, Kate brings energy, empathy, and dedication to our team of rescue volunteers. Whether she is feeding, cleaning, or simply offering a comforting presence, she ensures every animal in our care feels safe and loved. Her commitment to animal care helps create a nurturing environment where our furry (and sometimes feathered!) friends can thrive. Fun fact: Kate has a special talent for making even the shyest animals feel comfortable - and rumor has it, she’s got a secret handshake with every paw that crosses our foster program!

Meet Row - HQ Animal Care Assistant & New Starters Coordinator. From caring for animals in our foster program to supporting our rescue volunteers, Row wears many hats - and wears them all with kindness and grace. Her days are filled with gentle purrs and friendly greetings, as she helps both furry friends and fresh-faced volunteers feel right at home. With a natural gift for making others feel welcomed and supported, Row is the friendly face new volunteers look for guidance, encouragement, and the occasional treat recommendation (for both humans and pets!). Her passion for animal care is only matched by her love for helping others find their place in our pack.

Meet Claire - HQ Animal Care Volunteer. As an animal care volunteer, Claire brings a big heart, gentle hands, and an endless supply of kindness to every shift. Whether it’s cuddling cats, playing with kittens, or ensuring every bowl is full and every tail is wagging, Claire is always ready to lend a helping paw. Her love for animals shines through in everything she does, especially through her involvement in our foster program. As one of our amazing animal care volunteers, Claire is always there with a helping hand, a warm smile, and just the right amount of treats. Whether she is tidying up the kennels, soothing a nervous rescue, or ensuring that every animal gets the attention they deserve, Claire brings steady care and genuine love to every shift. Her calm energy makes the animals feel safe, and her commitment to our foster program and rescue volunteers strengthens our entire team.

Meet Alex - HQ Animal Care Volunteer. A valued member of our volunteer team, Alex brings kindness, reliability, and a genuine love for animals. In addition to assisting with daily animal care and providing comfort to the rescues, Alex often captures lovely photos behind the camera and is one of the first to scan new arrivals for microchips to help reunite lost pets with their families. He also keeps the pen doors updated, ensuring that everyone knows each animal’s story. Whether it’s caring for our cats, supporting our foster program, or simply making the animals feel safe and loved, Alex is always ready to help wherever needed. Fun fact: Alex is convinced that the animals secretly vote him ‘Best Snack Distributor’ – and honestly, who can blame them?

Meet Andrea - HQ Animal Care Assistant & Weekly Rota Coordinator. When it comes to ensuring both our animal care needs and schedules are met, Andrea is the one we can always rely on! As a dedicated animal care volunteer and our weekly rota coordinator, she expertly balances cuddles with calendars. From feeding our furry residents to ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, she brings a calm, can-do attitude to every task. She's the quiet force making sure every shift is covered, supporting our foster program and collaborating with our rescue volunteers to keep every animal happy.

Meet Rebecca - HQ Animal Care Volunteer. Rebecca is our resident superstar when it comes to keeping our HQ spotless and sparkling. With a keen eye for detail and a love for tidiness, she ensures every nook and cranny is ready for our furry friends to feel safe and comfortable. As part of our foster program, Rebecca’s efforts significantly enhance the environment for both our rescue volunteers and the animals. Whether it’s sweeping, sanitising, or organising supplies, she tackles it all with a smile - proving that a tidy space is a happy place for the furries and people alike. Fun fact: Rebecca is convinced that the cats secretly judge her cleaning skills and she is determined to keep impressing them!

Meet Rachel - HQ Animal Care Assistant. From the first rattle of the feeding bowls in the morning to a cozy check-in in the afternoon, Rachel is there ensuring every resident is well-fed, comfortable, and thoroughly fussed over. Whether it’s coaxing a shy cat out for a cuddle, ensuring a rabbit’s medication goes down without a fuss, or having playtime with the kittens, Rachel treats every creature as if it were her own. As part of our animal care team, she also supports our foster program by working alongside dedicated rescue volunteers. We absolutely know from the wagging tails and loud purrs Rachel is greeted with every day that she is a firm favorite among our HQ residents.

Meet Michaela - Website Storyteller. Michaela is the rescue’s website whisker whisperer and the creative mind behind many of the ideas on the site. Aiming to strengthen the rescue's online presence, she utilized her skills to ensure that the hard work of the rescue volunteers shines through. When she's not enhancing the website, Michaela occasionally participates in the foster program, caring for animals in need, and she proudly calls herself a cat parent. You’ll also often find her hiking mountain trails with her husband, recharging in nature, or being happily bossed around by her feline companion.

Meet Dani - Part of the Fosterer Family. With a heart as big as her love for every paw and purr, Dani opens her home to foster animals through a dedicated foster program, providing them with kindness and gentle care. Her nurturing spirit helps shy souls find confidence, and her patience turns fosters into forever friends. Always ready with a soothing word or a soft cuddle, Dani is the calm in the storm for animals finding their footing. As a passionate animal care advocate, her love for animals shines through everything she does, proving that sometimes, the kindest hands make the strongest heroes. Fun fact: Dani is also a master at sneaking extra treats to her fosters - and they’re all absolutely convinced she’s their favourite hooman! Thanks to the support of rescue volunteers like her, each animal feels cherished and valued.

Meet Gemma - Fosterer & Mom of junior fundraisers. Armed with endless compassion, a knack for cuddles, and a calendar fuller than most, Gemma opens her home to foster animals through a dedicated foster program, giving them the chance for a fresh start. Her love and patience help these animals blossom into their best selves, preparing them for their forever homes. Gemma’s children are right there beside her - the junior fundraising dream team, proving that kindness is hereditary. Together, they’ve turned community spirit into a family affair, raising not just money, but hope, all while inspiring future rescue volunteers. Gemma is living proof that with enough love (and maybe a little coffee), one person can really change the world one purr at a time.

Meet the Homer family - dedicated fosterers and passionate fundraisers. This powerhouse family seems to run on equal parts love, laughter, and caffeine! Mum and dad are big-hearted captains steering the ship, opening their home (and hearts) to foster pets through their foster program, providing a soft place to land for animals in need. The kids are official snugglers, treat distributors, and playtime supervisors, fully engaged in animal care. When they are not fostering, they are out fundraising in the community, working alongside fellow rescue volunteers. They are proof that kindness can be a family tradition - and making a difference is even sweeter when you do it together.

Meet Katy - a dedicated fosterer and soon-to-be animal photographer at the rescue. From the moment tiny paws cross her doorstep, Katy becomes their guide to the big wide world, complete with toys to play with, couches to scale, and a lap to curl up on. Specializing in fostering playful, tiny purring machines, Katy supports the foster program by helping them grow in confidence (and cuteness) until they are ready for their forever homes. Soon, Katy will also be the rescue’s official purr-fessional photographer, capturing each whiskered face and gleaming eyes so their personalities shine through in every adoption post. We’re paws-itively grateful for her big heart, camera skills, and the invaluable role she plays as one of our amazing rescue volunteers.

Meet Jean, a cherished member of the Fosterer Family. With a heart as warm as a freshly brewed cuppa (and a lap that’s rarely without a cat on it), Jean possesses a unique talent for transforming scared little strays into confident, cuddly companions. Through her dedication to animal care, she showers every cat in her care with patience, play, and the occasional nickname until they are ready to find their forever homes. Whether it’s winning over a shy old gentleman or keeping pace with a whirlwind of mischievous kittens, Jean makes every whisker count. Here, we believe the cats are the ones doing the choosing, and Jean consistently makes the shortlist of our foster program, thanks to her exceptional work alongside our rescue volunteers!
