These guidelines are in place to help us find the best and safest homes for our cats
CATS
If you live near a busy or main road, we’re really sorry, but we aren’t able to place cats with outdoor access in those areas. We always prefer indoor-only homes, or ones with a secure catio or cat-proof fencing. Outdoor access may be considered if your home is in a quiet, low-traffic area.
Before any adoption goes ahead, we carry out a thorough home and background check — this is just to make sure our cats are going to the safest, most suitable environment possible.
All resident pets will need to be neutered unless there’s a genuine medical reason not to — and we’ll ask for a vet’s note as confirmation during the home check.
If you already have cats who go outdoors, they must be fully vaccinated (unless medically exempt). For indoor-only cats, vaccination is still strongly recommended, and we’ll prioritise homes where pets are already up to date.
We kindly ask that you only apply if you meet these criteria. We’re a small team of volunteers doing our best to help as many animals as we can, and sticking to these guidelines really helps us make the most of our time and energy.
If you’re not sure whether you meet the requirements or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch — we’re always happy to chat 📥.
Thanks so much for understanding and for supporting rescue animals. 🙏🏼🐈⬛
A gentle reminder about deposits.
We now take a non-refundable deposit to secure booked adoption appointments. This is to protect ourselves and secure your chosen adoptee.
The deposit will be deducted from the overall adoption fee.
A no-show is something that's extremely frustrating and time-consuming. Fosters/ transporters have often cancelled their own plans to accommodate adoption dates, fuel costs for collection, drop-off and then back again is costly- plus the added stress to each animal, it's something they definitely don't want or need.
Hours of administration have also taken place, again wasting precious time given freely. We are 100% voluntary run, and we try our best to coordinate adoptions to suit all involved. 🙏🏻🐾

We get a lot of questions about how our adoption days run, so we wanted to share a quick behind-the-scenes look at how we get our cats from foster care into their forever homes.
Unlike larger funded shelters, we don't have a public cattery where you can just pop in and browse.
Because we are 100% volunteer-run, our process is structured a little differently to keep things stress-free for both our hard-working team and, most importantly, the cats!
Here is everything you need to know about how the magic happens:
1️⃣ It All Starts with the Application & Home Check
Before you can attend an adoption day, you need to have a completed application and an approved home check under your belt.
• The Home Check: Usually virtual! We will ask for photos of your main living areas and your garden or secure outdoor space (or a physical visit if a volunteer is local to you).
• The Application: This covers the basics like property status (landlord permission if renting), household members, working hours, and details on any current pets.
2️⃣ Appointment Only (No Walk-Ins!)
Our adoption days are strictly by appointment for a specific cat you have applied for and been matched with.
Because many of our cats live in loving foster homes until they are ready for adoption, our volunteers specifically transport them to the event just to meet you! Because of this, we can't accommodate walk-ins or general viewing.
3️⃣ Securing Your Slot
To protect our volunteers' time and ensure we don't have any empty slots that could have gone to another waiting family, we require a non-refundable appointment deposit to lock in your time. Don't worry—this is fully deducted from your final adoption fee!
4️⃣ Meet & Adopt on the Same Day!
We know how exciting it is to welcome a new pet, so we try to make things as convenient as possible. Meetings usually take place from our HQ, or at a local foster home.
If you and your chosen cat are a perfect match during the meeting, our goal is generally to complete both the meet and the adoption on the exact same day—meaning you get to take your new family member straight home!
